2019 has already managed to establish itself as a year of fresh and long-awaited new game releases including Super Mario Maker 2 and Metro: Exodus. And the beginning of July symbolizes that half of the year has already passed. But it doesn’t mean that the hottest releases are in the past. Meet the list of the new exciting games which are expected to launch this month!
July 2: Apex Legends Season 2
Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Origin on PC.
Genre: Shooter game.
Without exaggeration, EA’s Apex Legends is one of the most popular online shooters. It was first released in February and since that gained a lot of fans across the world. The developers focused on delivering good team playing modes (there is no single-player mode) and creating a number of characters with unique abilities. In a new series, we are expecting to see improved battle pass, brand-new ranked mode, a new weapon — L-star, and a new character — a girl named Wattson. One more good news, the developers left the game free to play.
July 11: Blazing Chrome
Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Windows.
Genre: Action and indie game.
Imagine a world where all our current fears come true: machines own the Earth. You are among several survived people who still live on the planet, but doesn’t have any power. What are you going to do? If you get lost or scared, you will die. So, in this survival action game, you need to cooperate with the best pals and win the machines to free humankind. Can you handle this? Blazing Chrome has a single-player mode and local cooperative multiplayer. Also, the interface of the game has been translated into more than 15 languages including French, Italian, and German.
July 19: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order
Platforms: Nintendo Switch.
Genre: Action role-playing game.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 was developed by Team Ninja and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo's Switch users. The game is a continuation of the previous two series that were published in 2006 and 2009. Moreover, it is the first Marvel game that was developed and published by Nintendo. The story described in the game differs from the plots of two previous Marvel games. It completely stands out the popular comics of the Marvel World and other popular versions. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 has more than 30 playable characters.
July 26: Wolfenstein: Youngblood
Platforms: Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, PlayStation 4, Xbox One.
Genre: first-person shooter game.
Wolfenstein: Youngblood is a spin-off of the game’s series with the same name. The title has two modes available to play: a single-player and an optional cooperative multiplayer. So, a player can decide whether he wants to compete against other players or artificial intelligence. The game has one interesting feature: you can pass the missions in a non-linear order unlike in the reboot games. Therefore, players get access to the new abilities and gears as they progress in the game. By the way, until the 26th of July, you can make a pre-order on Steam.
July 26: Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Platforms: Nintendo Switch.
Genre: Tactical role-playing game.
The game was developed by two popular Japanese video games companies Intelligent Systems, Koei Tecmo Games, and published by Nintendo. It’s interesting that Three Houses is the sixteenth entry in the Fire Emblem’s series since 2007. Compared to other installments, this new version has improved graphics as the first title with HD visuals. There are four protagonists: the teacher and three students (Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude), and a user can play only in a single-player mode. During the pre-purchase phase, you can buy the game for almost $60 on the official Nintendo's site.
