Let’s be honest, for the vast majority of people video games are just the way to entertain themselves. They imagine a teenager that plays the computer for days. But today, a video game is much bigger. And to prove this statement, we want to share with you some statistics. First of all, do you know that the average male gamer is 33 years old, and for female, this parameter is even higher  - 37? In fact, not only teenagers like games. Secondly, the industry's market capitalization is steadily growing from year to year. And thirdly, according to a computer science professor at the University of Washington Dr. Popović, they may help improve the neuroscience. So games can make you smarter, keener, and quick. The Last of Us Remastered

All the people became wild and have to kill each other for food and weapons. You will play as Joel. His mission is to smuggle Ellie, a 14 years-old girl. But what first looks like a quick and small job transforms into a long and dangerous traveling across the USA. You need to think really creatively and be brave to complete the mission in a post-apocalyptic world. Can you save the girl without dying? The game helps to train your strategic and tactical abilities and teaches to be attentive to details in an interesting way. 

BioShock Series

Genre: The first-person shooter game.

The game was developed by three companies: Irrational Games, 2K Australia, 2K Marin, and published by 2K Games. It is considered as a spiritual sequel to the System Shock series, on which the core team of developers had worked before. BioShock combines the elements from the first-person shooter and computer role-playing game. The series has three games that were released in a period from 2007 to 2013. In fact, BioShock games are an example of one of the most successful video game franchises of all time. For example, as for May 2019, more than 33 million copies were sold across the world. Also, the game has a mobile version that was developed in 2009 by IG Fun. 

This series is notable giving the person freedom to make a decision in the game. It is called immersive sim. In the BioShock, users have a relatively broad array of their abilities to create an unusual solution. The game allows for multiple approaches and ways of gameplay development. Moreover, it raises a lot of moral and philosophical questions, especially about objectivism and American exceptionalism. The first game in the series describes the world similar to the one in the Ayn Rand books, the second game is more focused on the individualist's extremism. You always need to make the difficult moral choices to pass the game. 

Deus Ex

Genre: Stealth, action role-playing, and first-person shooter game.

It is one of the most famous games’ series in the role-playing video games category. It consists of six titles: the first of them was released in 2000. You can download Deux Ex on Android, iOS, Windows, Mac OS, Linux, PlayStation, Wii U, and Xbox. What makes the game stand out is the combination of different gameplay styles and genres such as adventure, role-playing, and first-person shooter. The interesting fact is that before the Deus Ex appearance, most of the shooter games didn’t have a completed and detailed plot.

The game really checks your stealth. Without this ability, it is almost impossible to win the Deux Ex. Also, your choice is the crucial feature and the factor that influences and changes not only the game’s world around you but also the behavior of non-player characters. Although, the initial release was in 2007. As for March 2018, at least 2.5 million retail copies of the last game’s version in a series has been shipped for $110 million in revenue. It is an ideal variant to play for all people keen on space adventures and science. And we advise you to pass all previous three games before playing the Andromeda because they all tell a consistent story. 

You will assume the role of Commander Shepard in the game, a soldier who has to save the galaxy from Reapers — dangerous mechanical creatures. It strongly reflects every choice you make, and, according to that decision, has multiple endings. You will be really impressed by the storyline where a lot of things and events have a scientific base. So if you want to improve your knowledge about space, pump the ability to creative thinking and just enjoy the game, you definitely need to try Mass Effect.
